Last week was the 11th anniversary of my 21st birthday, and I celebrated in style—by spending the whole day at home. 😌
One of the biggest hesitations about the carnivore diet? The cost.

Well, It’s been 9 weeks on the carnivore diet for Dave and I.
After writing my last email about my bad motorbike accident and how I hadn’t been back on the bike since, I decided it was time..
I figured—this is just like life. If we stayed down after every knock back and mistake, Our Cow wouldn’t be what it is today!
Back to the story..
The day we landed back in Australia from America, we flew straight to Adelaide for the Carnivore Collective Conference. I turned to Dave and admitted how nervous I was about the event. I had to speak in front of 400 passionate carnivore fans. As a major sponsor, we were meant to represent this incredible company that provides unbelievably healthy, grass-fed, free-range, and organic meat. Yet, to be honest, we didn’t exactly look the part.
Dave and I are on the road a lot.
In 4 weeks, we clocked up 10,000 km on our car! With so much travel, we don’t always have the luxury of meal prepping or eating food we’ve cooked ourselves.
So the fitness program..
I’ve always loved working out and exercising, but Dave? Not so much. He only did it because I made him, and he would always get the sh*ts if the workouts were hard. “I DON’T LIKE KILLING MYSELF AT THE GYM LIKE YOU!” he would say.

Here at Our Cow, we believe that Aussie families come first. Aussie kids growing up with exceptional quality, ethically-sourced, locally produced meat is paramount for us and for our customers. We understand that Aussie parents want the absolute best for their kids; both in their childhood experiences, their health and nutrition, and their understanding of where food comes from and how it gets to their dinner table.
Unsurprisingly, Aussie families are the Australian beef industry’s single largest customer, accounting for 48% of all beef sales in the country*. However, unlike mainstream Australian beef producers who focus on exports to international markets, at Our Cow we are proud to serve Aussies 100% of the time.
Despite Australians accounting for almost half of industry’s sales, the recent 2022 Australian Beef Sustainability Report* focuses heavily on meeting global demand for our beef, with Japan, the USA and China following us in consumption. Now, we’re well aware that exporting our beef is very important to our economy and our industry, but at Our Cow we prefer to focus on helping our Aussie farmers feed our Aussie families, first.

One of the reasons we started Our Cow was to give the ethical, hard-working farmers, who care for their environment, a stable and secure way of growing their farms, and sharing their stories with fellow Aussies.
We’re very proud that our farmers are furthering the protection and custodianship of our beautiful land through sustainable and regenerative farming practices. With beef farms accounting for almost half of Australia’s land mass, “beef producers are some of the nation’s most important environmental custodians, and are acutely aware of their responsibility to care for our natural assets”.*
We couldn't agree more; it's clear that a healthy living environment for cattle, encompassing plenty of shade, water, fresh grass and healthy human interaction, is essential for not only the health and welfare of animals, but the quality of meat they produce and the health of those who eat it. Beef farmers in Australia have a duty to help improve, rather than further degrade, our environment, and we know, without doubt, that Our Cow farmers do that.
