Carnivore Story Part 5 - Changes I've Noticed in Me

After writing my last email about my bad motorbike accident and how I hadn’t been back on the bike since, I decided it was time..

I figured—this is just like life. If we stayed down after every knock back and mistake, Our Cow wouldn’t be what it is today!

So, when Dave said he was going for a ride on the public holiday and told me to come along, I was torn..

On one hand, I could stay home (alone—YES! How good is being home alone?!), I could do some gardening, maybe go for a swim, have a little nap.. Sounds pretty good just thinking about it.

Or I could go motorbike riding in 38-degree heat, kickstart my bike 100 times, and get hot and muddy. The choice was tough, right? 😐...

I ummed and ahhed for ages, eventually, Dave said, “Okay, you’re coming. Im loading your bike!”

We were up at 5 AM on a public holiday!

Started with a killer workout, then I put a couple of eggs in the air fryer for breakfast because we had to get going. (PS: The air fryer does the best boiled eggs—4 eggs, 120 degrees for 12 minutes, perfect every time.)

I quickly packed an esky with two packs of jerky and some electrolytes. I didn’t have time to prep a full lunch.

When I put on my bike pants for the first time in ages, I was surprised—there was actually a bit of room in the waistband! Normally, I’d be squeezing into them. Off to a good start.

And I didn’t fall off my bike!

I actually had the best time just zooming around the track. I felt so much fitter—normally, I’d be sucking in the big ones just trying to keep air in my lungs but I was barely puffing!

We rode for about 3 hours and then started the drive home. Since I didn’t have lunch packed, I stopped at a servo and grabbed some grilled chicken kebab skewers from the hot box, they looked like they'd been been sitting there for about 2 hours. Not the best meal, but better than a Chiko Roll and a pack of Maltesers.

When we got home, I had Y-bone steak in the fridge. This is my all-time favorite cut, but it had been so long since I’d had one that I forgot just how good they are!

It’s not as tender as an eye fillet, but the flavor is amazing. I gave it a good coat of salt, threw some butter on the BBQ, grilled it up, and served it with more butter. Bon appétit—I ate the whole thing! 🥩

That night, we’d just finished watching motorbikes (because as if training and riding wasn’t enough).

I was scrolling through TikTok, looking at carnivore recipes, when this stunning lady popped up doing an Our Cow unboxing. I stopped scrolling—Hey, I know that company!

I’d never come across her feed before, but she was showing what she got in her delivery. Then I started reading the comments…

Her followers were going Our Cow crazy!

They all wanted a piece of the Our Cow pie… or should I say, steak! She shared her referral code, and I kept checking to see how many times it had been used.

Over 100 times in less than 12 hours! 🤯

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Safe to say, she won’t need to pay for her meat again for a while with the amount of people who used her code!

PS: You get $50 credit every time someone uses your referral code! You can find yours here .
