Promotions, Giveaways & Free‑for‑Life Offers: Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all promotions run by Our Cow, which fall into three distinct categories:

1. Giveaways & Competitions (e.g. social media giveaways, random draws)
2. Free-for-Life Promotions (ongoing product inclusions while a subscription remains active)
3. New Subscriber Offers (one-off bonuses for first-time customers)

Each category operates differently and has its own conditions below. Where specific promotional material conflicts with these Terms, the promotional material will take precedence.

1. Eligibility (General)

• Open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
• Eligibility rules differ depending on the type of promotion:
• Giveaways & Competitions: Employees of Our Cow are not eligible to win, unless explicitly stated.
• Free-for-Life Promotions & New Subscriber Offers: Employees of Our Cow and their immediate family members are eligible, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Entrants must have a valid Our Cow customer account where required.
• Any additional eligibility criteria will be stated in the relevant promotional material.

2. Promotion Categories & How to Participate

2.1 Giveaways & Competitions

Entry mechanics will be clearly outlined in the relevant promotional material and may include:

• Following, liking, commenting, tagging, or sharing content on social media
• Completing a form or opting in via email or SMS

Unless stated otherwise:

• One entry per person applies.
• Entries that are incomplete, incorrect, automated, or fraudulent will be deemed invalid.

2.2 Free-for-Life Promotions

• Free-for-life promotions are available to eligible new customers only, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• A minimum spend of $199 (after discounts and excluding shipping, where applicable) is required to qualify, unless stated otherwise.
• Free-for-life promotions are automatically applied to eligible customer accounts once qualification criteria are met.
• No separate entry is required unless stated.
• Free-for-life offers are linked to the individual customer account and are non-transferable.
• Our Cow reserves the right to change the promotional product if required.

2.3 New Subscriber Offers

• New subscriber offers are available to eligible new customers only, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• A minimum spend of $199 (after discounts and excluding shipping, where applicable) is required to qualify, unless stated otherwise.
• New subscriber offers apply when a customer places their first qualifying order.
• Offers are applied automatically or via a promo code, as specified.

3. Promotional Period

• Each promotion runs for the period specified in the relevant promotional material.
• All times are AEST/AEDT, as applicable.
• Our Cow reserves the right to extend, shorten, or cancel a promotion at any time where reasonably necessary, and will update the relevant promotional material as needed.

4. Prizes, Offers & Promotions

4.1 Giveaways & Competition Prizes

• Prizes are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash, unless stated otherwise.
• Prizes are subject to availability and may be substituted with an item of equal or greater value at Our Cow’s discretion.

4.2 Free-for-Life Promotions

Unless otherwise stated:

• "Free for Life" refers to the lifetime of the customer’s qualifying active Our Cow subscription, not the lifetime of the customer.
• Free-for-life promotions are offered to eligible new customers only and require a minimum spend of $199 on the first qualifying order (after discounts and excluding shipping, where applicable), unless stated otherwise.
• Free products will be included once per qualifying order, subject to reasonable personal consumption limits.
• Free-for-life items may be:
• Limited to specific cuts or products
• Subject to seasonal availability
• Changed or substituted where reasonably necessary
• Free products cannot be swapped for alternative products at the customer's request
• Promotions are limited to one per eligible customer and are non-transferable
• To continue receiving the free product during the period, the customer must:
• Maintain an active subscription with a minimum order value of $199 or more per renewal.
• Not exceed 8 weeks between successful subscription orders.
• Remain free from paused, on-hold, cancelled, or payment-failed subscription status.
• If a customer cancels, pauses, or fails payment for 6 months or more, they will become ineligible for any remaining promotional benefits within the Benefit Period.

Our Cow reserves the right to:

• Review usage for misuse or abuse
• Cancel the free-for-life benefit if the subscription is cancelled, transferred, or used fraudulently.
• Change the products if necessary.

5. New Subscriber Offers

• New subscriber offers are available to eligible new customers only, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• A minimum spend of $199 (after discounts and excluding shipping, where applicable) is required to qualify, unless stated otherwise.
• New subscriber offers are available once per customer.
• Offers apply to first-time Our Cow customers only.
• New subscriber offers:
• Cannot be combined with other new customer promotions unless explicitly stated
• May exclude certain products or bundles
• Our Cow may verify eligibility using customer details, including name, email address, delivery address, account history, and payment method.
• ‘New customer’ is a new customer to Our Cow only; active subscribers may not cancel their subscription and redeem the new offer.
• Free products cannot be swapped for alternative products at the customer's request.
• Promotions are limited to one per eligible customer and are non-transferable.

6. Winner Selection & Notification (Giveaways & Competitions)

• Winners will be selected at random or by the method stated in the promotion.
• Winner selection will take place within a reasonable timeframe after the promotion closes.
• Winners will be contacted via the platform used to enter (e.g. social media DM or email).
• Winners must respond within 48 hours unless otherwise stated.
• If a winner does not respond within the stated timeframe, Our Cow reserves the right to redraw.

7. Social Media Disclaimer

Promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, Facebook, TikTok, or any other platform, unless explicitly stated.

By entering, participants release these platforms from all responsibility.

8. Delivery & Fulfilment

• Physical prizes or free products will be delivered to Australian addresses only.
• Delivery timeframes may vary based on location, weather, and operational constraints.
• Our Cow is not responsible for delays outside of its reasonable control.

9. Content & Usage Rights

• By entering a promotion, entrants grant Our Cow permission to:
• Repost, share, and use submitted content (including names, usernames, images, videos, and testimonials)
• Use content for marketing and promotional purposes across digital channels
• Usage will always be respectful and in line with Our Cow’s brand values.

10. Privacy & Data Collection

• By entering a promotion, making a qualifying purchase, or subscribing, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information in accordance with Our Cow’s Privacy Policy.
• Personal information collected may include name, email address, phone number, delivery address, order history, and social media handles (where applicable).
• Information is used for purposes including:
• Administering promotions, giveaways, and offers
• Contacting winners or eligible participants
• Email and SMS marketing communications (where consent has been provided or implied via the entry mechanism)
• Improving customer experience and personalising offers
• Entrants may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting Our Cow directly.
• Our Cow does not sell personal information to third parties.

11. General

• Our Cow’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms & Conditions or acts in a way that compromises the fairness or integrity of a promotion.
• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Content on our website may be updated or changed at any time without notice. While we aim for accuracy, we do not guarantee the site is current or error-free and disclaim liability for inaccuracies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Prohibited Conduct

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We do not control or endorse those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Website Availability & Liability

We may suspend, withdraw or terminate the website at any time without notice. You access and use the website at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss, damage or expense arising from use of the website or its content, including outages, inaccuracies or data loss.

You agree to indemnify and hold Our Cow harmless from any claim arising from your use of the website.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by us. Clauses relating to liability, indemnity and intellectual property survive termination.

Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it may be severed without affecting the remaining provisions.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith within 14 days. If unresolved after 28 days, either party may commence legal proceedings.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

Free Shipping

Unless otherwise stated:

• Our Cow offers free standard shipping on eligible orders with a minimum spend of $199 (after discounts and excluding shipping fees).
• Free shipping applies to eligible delivery areas and may not apply to remote or limited-service zones.
• Shipping eligibility may vary based on product type, order composition, delivery schedule, and operational constraints.
• Our Cow may withdraw, change, or limit free shipping at any time.

Discount Codes, Promotions & Referral Credits

Discount Codes & Promotional Code Use

To maintain fairness for all customers and protect our business, the following rules apply to all discount codes, promotional codes, influencer codes, and offer redemptions ("Promo Codes") unless expressly stated otherwise:

• Promo Codes are intended for personal use only by the intended recipient/customer.
• Promo Codes must not be:
• Shared, sold, traded, transferred, or auctioned
• Posted publicly on coupon websites, forums, deal groups, or social platforms (including code-sharing websites)
• Distributed via automated scripts, bots, bulk messaging, or spam
• Our Cow may set limits at any time on Promo Code redemption, including, without limitation:
• One use per customer
• One use per order
• Minimum spend requirements
• Product exclusions
• Expiry dates
• Maximum total redemptions

Misuse, Stacking & Fraud Prevention

Our Cow reserves the right (in its absolute discretion and to the maximum extent permitted by law) to:

• Reject or cancel orders where the Promo Code use appears to be:
• Stacked, combined, manipulated, or applied contrary to its intended purpose
• Automated, fraudulent, or part of a coordinated abuse event
• Used to obtain free or heavily discounted goods beyond reasonable personal use
• Disable or withdraw Promo Codes at any time without notice
• Reverse or remove any promotional discount, credit, free product, or benefit applied in error
• Suspend, restrict, or terminate customer accounts where misuse is suspected

If an order is cancelled due to Promo Code misuse, any associated credits, discounts, giveaways, free items, or referral benefits may be forfeited.

Resale & Commercial Use Prohibited

Our Cow products, including any products received via Promo Codes, giveaways, credits, or free-for-life offers, are supplied for personal household consumption only.

You must not purchase or obtain Our Cow products for the purpose of:

• Resale or commercial supply
• Redistribution to third parties for profit
• Creating “deal bundles” or third-party promotions without Our Cow’s written approval

We reserve the right to refuse service and cancel orders where we reasonably suspect resale activity.

Referral Program & Referral Credits

Our Cow may offer a referral program where customers can earn credit for referring eligible new customers.

Unless otherwise stated:

• Referral credits are issued as account credit and are not redeemable for cash.
• Referral credits may be used only toward eligible Our Cow purchases on www.ourcow.com.au.
• Referral credits:
• Cannot be transferred to another customer account
• Cannot be sold, gifted, or exchanged
• Cannot be used to purchase gift cards (if applicable)
• Cannot be redeemed against alcohol products where restricted by law (if applicable)

$50 Referral Credit

Where a promotion offers a $50 referral credit, this typically means:

• The referrer receives $50 in Our Cow account credit once eligibility requirements are met
• The referred customer may receive a benefit (e.g., an Our Cow credit) as advertised
• We may limit referral credits to protect the integrity of the program, including:
• Limits on referrals per customer per month
• Limits on total credit earned
• Limits on who qualifies as a new customer

Prohibited Referral Activity

Referral credits must not be generated through:

• Self-referrals (including using multiple accounts, aliases, or household payment methods)
• Fake accounts, fake details, or automated sign-ups
• Public posting of referral links/codes on coupon websites or “deal” platforms
• Any conduct that we reasonably suspect is intended to exploit the program

We reserve the right to:

• Withhold, reverse, or cancel referral credits
• Cancel orders associated with suspicious referral activity
• Suspend or terminate accounts involved

Our Cow’s decision regarding referral eligibility and referral credit issuance is final.

Affiliate & Ambassador Codes

From time to time, Our Cow works with ambassadors, affiliates and partners who may provide unique discount codes or referral links.

Affiliate/ambassador codes are intended for genuine audiences and personal use.

We reserve the right to:

• Monitor redemptions for unusual activity
• Pause, disable, or change code settings at any time
• Decline payouts/benefits where fraud or misuse is suspected

Terms of Sale

Ordering Products

Products may be purchased as:

• One-off orders (including Bulk Beef Boxes)
• Subscription orders under the Exclusive Eaters Club

Subscriptions

By purchasing a subscription, you agree:

• Your payment method will be charged on a recurring basis
• Your subscription continues until cancelled by you or terminated by us
• Orders cannot be cancelled once picked, packed or dispatched
• Changes may be made while orders are in a paid status. Price differences will be charged or credited accordingly.

One-Off Orders

One-off orders are processed immediately. Cancellation requests are subject to our discretion if the order has not been prepared.

Payment & Billing

You authorise Our Cow or its payment processor to charge your nominated payment method for all orders. You are responsible for ensuring payment details remain valid.

If payment fails, we may suspend or cancel orders or attempt reprocessing.

Service Fee

A service fee of 1.25% applies to all transactions (effective 24/04/2024) and will be disclosed at checkout. We may adjust this fee at our discretion.

Pricing & Availability

Prices and product offerings may change at any time.

Delivery

All Our Cow meat is delivered frozen. Depending on delivery conditions and external temperatures, some items may begin to soften during transit; however, products should still arrive cold and in safe condition.

If you are home to take delivery, that is ideal. Otherwise, the order may be left at the customer’s doorstep or other safe delivery space provided in delivery instructions. 

Once delivered, the order is at your risk. You must consider risks, including sun exposure, weather, theft, and wildlife. We recommend planning ahead so orders are retrieved and stored promptly.

You are responsible for inspecting all Products upon delivery and determining suitability for consumption.

If the temperature is above 5°C, or you have any reason to believe a Product is not suitable for consumption, contact us at admin@ourcow.com.au (attaching photos of the item(s)).

To maintain quality and integrity, we recommend immediately freezing or refrigerating all perishable Products upon delivery.

After delivery, the handling, storage, preparation, cooking, use and consumption of Products are totally at your risk.

We recommend that you follow the NSW Government Food Authority's instructions on safe food handling. At-risk groups (including pregnant women, young children, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals) should closely follow official food safety recommendations.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of products, returns are not accepted.

If you experience an issue, contact admin@ourcow.com.au within 7 days of delivery. We may offer a replacement, credit or refund at our discretion in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Exclusive Eaters Club: 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Active subscription customers are eligible for Our Cow’s Satisfaction Guarantee for meat products only.

Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery with supporting evidence. Delivery-related issues are excluded.

Our Cow reserves the right to determine eligibility and outcomes.

Cancelled Orders

Charges incurred prior to cancellation remain payable. Cancellations after invoicing apply to the next billing cycle.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to preparation, refrigeration and delivery of products. Risks after delivery are borne by the customer.

Our Cow Gift Vouchers

These Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions apply to all Our Cow gift vouchers and gift cards ("Gift Vouchers").

Gift Voucher Terms

1. No expiry: Our Cow Gift Vouchers have no expiry date and may be used at any time from the date of issue.
2. One voucher per person: Unless otherwise stated, one voucher applies per person.
3. How vouchers can be used: Gift Vouchers may be used for purchases made online at ourcow.com.au, excluding the purchase of additional gift cards (see clause 7).
4. Partial use / multiple orders: Gift Vouchers may be used across multiple transactions. Any remaining balance will remain available for future use.
5. No cash exchange: Gift Vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash (in full or part).
6. Not to be combined: Gift Vouchers cannot be used with any other offer or discount, unless the discount is automatically applied at checkout as determined by Our Cow and in line with promotional activity.
7. Cannot buy gift cards: Gift Vouchers cannot be used to purchase further Gift Vouchers/gift cards.
8. No resale or unauthorised transfer: Gift Vouchers must not be sold, traded or transferred other than to the intended recipient.
9. No change given: No credit or change will be issued for any unused portion of a Gift Voucher outside of the voucher balance remaining on the account for future use.
10. Lost or stolen vouchers: Our Cow does not replace lost or stolen Gift Vouchers.
11. Delivery: Gift Vouchers are delivered electronically to the recipient nominated at purchase. Our Cow is not responsible for loss, non-delivery or misdirection where the purchaser provides incorrect or fraudulent recipient details.
12. Value limits: The minimum amount that can be loaded onto a Gift Voucher is $25, and the maximum amount is $500. Customers may choose a custom amount within these limits.
13. Buyer responsibility: It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure all recipient details are entered correctly at purchase and that the Gift Voucher is delivered to the intended recipient.
14. Holder responsibility: It is the Gift Voucher holder’s responsibility to enter the Gift Voucher code correctly at checkout to ensure the Gift Voucher is applied.
15. Changes to terms: Our Cow may amend these Gift Voucher Terms at any time at its discretion, and updated terms will be binding once published.

Alcohol Sales & Delivery

You must be 18 years or over to purchase alcohol. Proof of age may be required.

Alcohol will not be delivered where circumstances are deemed unsuitable, including intoxication or failure to verify age.

Products must not be purchased for resale. Orders suspected of resale may be cancelled.

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998:

• Supplying alcohol to a minor is an offence
• Minors purchasing or receiving alcohol is an offence
