Ingredients:
- 500g beef mince
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 1 cup beef stock
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
2. Cook onion and garlic until softened, then add beef mince and cook until browned.
3. Stir in carrot and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add flour and cook for 2 minutes, then add beef stock and tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Stir in peas and season with salt and pepper.
6. Transfer to a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes, and sprinkle with cheese if using.
7. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
