Ingredients:
- 500g Our Cow Grass Fed Beef Meatballs
- ½ a brown onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper
- 700 g tomato passata
- ¼ cup basil leaves, finely chopped
- 4 crusty long rolls
- 300g mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
Cooking instructions:
- Heat a frying pan over medium and cook the Our Cow Grass-Fed Beef Meatballs until browned. Removed meatballs from the pan and add the onion, garlic, and seasonings. Mix and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the tomato passata and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the basil and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Finally, add the meatballs and mix them in.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray.
- Cut the rolls and add them to the tray. Place 5 meatballs, along with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, into each roll. Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread has browned.
- Top with some chopped basil and enjoy!
